Laura Jackson

Laura began dancing at the age of six and has trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, musical theatre, and tap. She attended the University of New Hampshire and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Theatre.

While attending the university, Laura was a member of the Ballet Performance Company under the direction of C.Laurence Robertson for four years. Laura also performed and choreographed for the student-run dramatic society, Mask and Dagger. Some performances include: Les Sylphides, Dinetah, Swan Lake, Curtains the Musical, and Fame.

After completing her degree, Laura returned to her home studio where she taught for eleven years. Laura also founded and coached the studio’s competitive dance team for ten years. Through these years, Laura attended the Pulse’s Teacher Workshops and dance intensives in New York City.

Laura enjoys working in theatre as well and has worked with community theaters throughout NH. Shows she has choreographed include The Music Man, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. Laura has taken courses through the National Dance Education Organization to further her dance education training, she is a trained pointe fitter, and has recently achieved her certification in Progressing Ballet Technique. Laura is currently teaching at Rise Dance Studio and 5678 Dance Studio, as well as a Barre fitness instructor at Above the Barre Dance and Fitness.
